Q: Who is Bukola Dawodu?

Ans: Bukola Dawodu is a Business professional whose expertise includes leading people, resources, and organizational processes. She loves music, books, and nature. A corporate executive by the day and a virtual globetrotter by night. She currently works with a fantastic team at Health Connect 24×7 as the Head of Operations.

Q: What does the  job of the Head of People and Operations at HC24X7 entail?

Ans: In summary, this entails fixing problems by working with people. The critical goals of the role are overseeing the operational activities of HealthConnect 24×7, creating alignment and synergy among teams, and ensuring that the workforce is productive.

Q: How do you balance the demands of your job as a people and operations head with your personal life?

Ans: My mantra is ‘Work hard, play hard.’ Work is part of me; I cannot separate it. I believe in integrating work with personal life. I reply to emails at parties if it is urgent. My friends and loved ones know this about me. When it is time to work, it is work, and when it is time to take a break for personal life, it is time.

In addition, I do not take challenges at work too personally. In spite of the emotions involved, it is business as usual, and work has to go on irrespective of my feelings. It is a gift; I balance work and play effortlessly.

Q: Can you discuss any personal interests or hobbies that you pursue outside of work to help maintain balance in your life?

Ans: Oh, I am multi-passionate! I have come to terms with who I am. I love memories, which makes me take pictures and videos of my experiences and moments a lot. I have tons of pictures! I love disc jockeying, managing training gigs (if I call it that), and engaging on social media platforms (IG & Pinterest is my favorite). I watch movies (all genres, depending on my mood).

The list will only be complete by mentioning my love for professional development. I must study something, or something will study me. Currently, I am studying cybersecurity.

Q: If you had a chance to address the UN for 1 minute what would you say?

Ans: I will prioritize the health and well-being of our planet and its inhabitants and ensure that no one is left behind.

We must unite, set aside our differences and work towards a common goal.

We must work together to ensure everyone can access quality healthcare, including essential medicines, vaccines, and medical supplies. We must also address the social determinants of health, such as poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation, which disproportionately affect vulnerable and marginalized communities.

Governments must prioritize investments in healthcare systems, increase access to affordable medicines, and address the root causes of health disparities. I’d also encourage them to promote international cooperation in addressing global health challenges, including pandemic preparedness and response.

Q: If you had the power to change one thing what would it be?

Ans: Poverty. Poverty can affect the mindset negatively. It is a menace.

Q: If you had to choose a superpower, what would you choose and why?

Ans: That would be a psychic superpower! Precognition, the ability to perceive or predict future events. I would love to have this to prevent future disasters or problems for myself and people around me. Lol.
